About Alma

Alma Koudsi is a physiotherapist with experience in pelvic and women's health, musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation, post-operative recovery, and pain management. Her approach is centred on understanding each patient's individual concerns and creating a comfortable, supportive environment throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Alma combines manual therapy, dry needling, therapeutic exercise, and movement rehabilitation with individualised care to help patients reduce pain, restore function, and return confidently to their daily activities.

Alma practises at KINETIKA, a DHA-licensed clinic, with clinical experience across musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation, post-operative recovery, pain management, and functional rehabilitation. She earned her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Gulf Medical University in the UAE, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based and patient-centred care.

Alongside her musculoskeletal practice, Alma has developed a particular interest in Pelvic & Women's Health Physiotherapy. Her approach focuses on creating a private, comfortable, and supportive environment where women can openly discuss concerns that may affect their movement, wellbeing, and quality of life. Her academic interest in women's health began during her university studies, where her research explored the effects of supervised breathing exercises and upright positioning during the first stage of labour on pain, anxiety, and labour duration.

Alma's broader clinical experience includes working with patients experiencing musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, chronic pain, and post-operative rehabilitation. She focuses on understanding how each condition affects the individual's movement and daily function before developing a treatment plan tailored to their needs.

Her treatment approach combines manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, movement rehabilitation, and dry needling, where clinically appropriate. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, Alma works with patients to improve mobility, restore function, build strength, and develop greater confidence in their movement.

Patient education is also an important part of Alma's approach. She believes that helping patients understand their condition and rehabilitation journey allows them to take a more active role in their recovery and supports progress beyond the treatment room.

At KINETIKA, Alma brings together attentive care, movement, and evidence-based rehabilitation to help each patient work towards meaningful and sustainable improvements in their function and quality of life.
