Understanding your pain

What Causes Back Pain

01

Muscle & Soft Tissue

Strains, trigger points, and imbalances, the most common cause, and one of the most responsive to physio.

02

Disc Pathology

Disc bulges, herniations, and degeneration can compress nerves and cause both local and referred pain.

03

Facet Joint Dysfunction

Small joints in the spine can become irritated, causing stiffness and pain with movement.

04

Poor Movement Patterns

Repetitive loading in poor positions, at a desk, gym, or on-field, accumulates into injury over time.

05

Nerve Involvement

Sciatic nerve irritation or entrapment causes radiating pain, numbness, or tingling into the leg.

06

Posture & Core Weakness

Weak stabilising muscles shift load onto passive structures, a very common pattern we see daily.

Frequently Asked Questions

No referral is needed. You can book directly with us for an initial assessment, we'll evaluate your condition and determine the best course of treatment from there.

Not at all. Most back pain can be accurately assessed through clinical examination alone. If imaging is warranted, we'll let you know and help coordinate it.

This depends entirely on your diagnosis, severity, and goals. Most patients see meaningful improvement within 4-8 sessions. We'll give you a realistic picture after your initial assessment.

Our goal is the opposite, to get you independent and strong enough that you don't need us. We build self-management strategies into every programme.

Many Dubai health insurance plans cover physiotherapy. See our Insurance page for details, or WhatsApp our team and we'll check your cover.
